The Experience
Join us for an evening of dance and liberation.
Ecstatic dance is a judgment free movement exploration space. Feel free to dance, stretch, or rest as you please, as long as everyone’s space and experience is respected.
Come and move and BE as you are!
This is YOUR dance — your journey of self-expression, transformation, and LIBERATION in the company of others BEing and doing the same. No experience necessary.
This is a sober event.
The STORY
Ecstatic dance is a free-form dance practice where participants move to music without following specific steps. The music provides the journey, and participants feel, move, and weave through the soundscapes freely. The sacred intent is to provide a liberating and joyful space for self-expression through movement in the company of others doing the same.
The dance floor is a sacred space where we join together to journey into sound, rhythm, movement, and breath.
As we enter into the journey, we commit to an intentional, sacred, and safe space where we are all held and honored — on the dance floor we let go and free ourselves as we drop deep into the experience, inviting and allowing powerful transformational dance moments that can invoke a natural ecstatic state from immersing in embodied connection within ourselves and our surroundings.
When we step onto the dance floor, we invite and include our whole selves, even the frightened parts that want to hide
We dance through pain and sorrow
We dance with joy until our hard edges soften and our masks fall away
We dance, bravely allowing the uniqueness of our authentic nature to beam through
We meet other courageous dancers, weaving unbreakable threads of connection
Our connections and friendships transcend the boundaries of time and space
And it all melts together —
Sound, beat, movement, breath —
into a swirling vortex we embrace as community
As the throbbing pulse of the dance floor matches our own heartbeat, we know, without a doubt, we are not alone — we are all connected
And we return, again and again to the dance floor to uplift ourselves in community, connection, belonging, love, peace, and joy!

Be present | no phones
Be clear | no intoxicants or altering substances
Be embodied | no talking (expressive, embodied sounds are invited!)
Be consensual | if it’s not a clear yes, it’s a no
